The plan this year was to have one tree full of handmade woodland ornaments. But, the whole Costco being out of trees meant we had to use my. Tree as the family tree. Thursday, August 16, 2012. There was an ugly bread box. So I decided to get it and fix it up. A little CeCe Caldwell Hershey Brown chalk paint. Trimmed out in Vintage White. I used my cricut to make a stencil. And I got some scrapbook paper and covered the ugly wheat looking thing in the center. I glued it on and brushed a thin coat of Mod Podge over the top.
Sunday, February 5, 2012. XBOX Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Cake. I covered the cake with black satin ice fondant. The insides were vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream. The controller is made of Rice Krispie Treat covered with fondant. I got trick candles so he had to huff and puff to blow them out. Tricky tricky! Saturday, January 21, 2012. Friday, September 7, 2012. Life has been a bit busy lately. I did attend our county fair a couple weeks ago and found some repurposed projects there that I want to share with you. First off, the fair committee had a contest in which people could decorate bowling pins. There were lots of great ones. Here are some of my favorites.
Tuesday, August 20, 2013. DIY Long desk built with 2 x 4s and filing cabinets. This is the desk that I built, with some help from my son and husband. I was inspired to build this desk by a tutorial that I seen on Pinterest, it was posted by LaughterandGrace. It was a great tutorial! Here is a pix of that desk. I sure was going to try. But, we made do until we could figure out something else.
